UPDATED COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
From Wednesday the 18th of August 2021 we will be allowing clients to bring their animal into the surgery. However should you not wish to enter the building we are still able to provide contactless appointments where the vet will take your pet into the surgery and perform the examination without you present.
For clients who do attend with their pet we ask that you follow the guidance below:
- Let us know if you are UNWELL or SELF-ISOLATING
If you have been advised to "self-isolate" or are showing signs of respiratory disease then we ask that you
DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY AT ALL
Consider asking friends/relatives etc if they can bring the animal in to us.
If you do have to come in yourself, please ring us from the car park and we will make alternative arrangement to see you.
- If you are EARLY, please wait in your car
This is so we can still try and manage the flow of people effectively in the waiting room and practice.
- Please continue to wear a MASK or FACE COVERING
We still politely request that your wear a face-mask when entering the surgery. Our staff will be wearing masks as well. Obviously, if you are mask-exempt, then please let us know.
- Only ONE person allowed in the building...
To try and manage the waiting room and social distancing as effectively as possible, we still ask that only ONE adult comes into the waiting room/consulting room with your pet.
- Use the HAND SANITISER on your way in
Please WASH your hands before you come and see us and make use of the alcohol gel dispensers provided inside the building.
- Please utilise CONTACTLESS payment
We ask that preferably, payment is made by CONTACTLESS or CHIP and PIN. However, cash payments can now be taken if necessary.
- REPEAT Prescriptions/Food etc.
We ask that you order online at www.gkg-vets.co.uk/services/repeat-prescriptions as this saves us a huge amount of time. We are still asking for 48hrs notice please.
Stay safe,
Elizabeth, Stuart and the GKG Vets Team
